A butter knife went through a pipe...

When I got home, I began to cook eggplant parmesan for dinner and as soon as I had the eggplant cut, pan heated and water boiling, I heard some water trickling... When I looked UNDER the sink water was leaking from the P-Trap.  I called Todd over and he said there is a knife sticking out of the pipe... there was a butter knife sticking through the pipe!  Stupid rental house!!!  It was NOT our knife either.

Todd was attempting to fix it himself when he realized that this was so corroded he couldn't even unthread the pipe so we had to call the emergency hotline.  Lucky for us, the plumber lives in the same town and arrived fairly quickly.  It only took him an hour to fix and replace the pipes and he even left to purchase supplies.  Now we have a new PVC pipe and he asked me to take pictures of the pipe (below) so he could show the property management company.  Not only did we pull out the knife, there was another hole at the back near the wall.  Now we are just waiting to see if the ceiling will fall through in the basement cause who knows how much water has leaked.  Just joking (hopefully).

The nasty rusty part on the far left is where Todd pulled out the butter knife!

So, after the plumber left I made this card.  I loved the colors from the Paper Players challenge this week.  I used the Secret Garden stamp set and framelits to get my flower collage.
